*** THIS WEEK IN SIX *** Over the past few days, your local police have: Arrested a suspect for breaching a domestic non-molestation order. Secured a stalking conviction for a high risk offender, who has been handed a six-month sentence. Engaged with local businesses as part of Sceptre week, discussing the impact of knife sales on youth violence and how we can work together to combat it. Charged and remanded a prolific shoplifter for several offences following his arrest. Came to the aid of a lady who was locked out of her house and her young child was stuck inside. Arrested a male for robbery and theft offences. He was charged and remanded to appear at court. Arrested another male that same day for sexual assault. Conducted knife sweeps in open spaces, parks and along the canal as part of Sceptre week. Worked with response team colleagues to arrest a male for breaching a community order in Bentley Bridge, after he was spotted by our PCSOs. Conducted multiple targeted patrols at Crossways Shopping Centre. This included us catching a shoplifter in the act during a plain clothes deployment. He was also wanted for several previous theft offences. He was charged and will appear at court. Finally, our diligent PCSOs were on patrols around a convenience store in Heath Town and spotted a suspected shoplifter. He was chased and later detained with the support of our PCs.
